Chris McCarthy is the Chief Executive Officer of Skillable. Chris joined the company in September 2022, after eight years at Degreed, where he served as CEO from 2018-2021.

Chris led Degreed through a period of significant growth with compound annual revenue growth of 76% and an 800% increase in enterprise value. Over Chris’ time as COO and CEO, Degreed grew from a five-person team to more than 600 employees across six continents, while winning numerous awards for culture and diversity.

Prior to Degreed, Chris was a business unit General Manager at Chegg through their IPO in 2013.

A true east-coaster at heart, Chris graduated from Northeastern University in 2002 before attending Harvard Business School to obtain his MBA. He lives in Park City with his wife, two sports-obsessed boys and his youngest child, a three-year-old Labrador Retriever.
